Our racing team recently spent a few weeks in Spain’s Costa Brava for some early season training and Shutt joined them along with pro photographer Chris Lanaway and a big box of our new 2018 kits. The team was based in Moraira just to the north of Calpe. This area particularly has become something of a Mecca for Europe’s cyclists, with both pro and amateur riders flocking there in droves to escape the cold winter weather to the north. Abingdon Spring Crits #2

Shutt Velo Race Team sent another strong team to Abingdon as the Abingdon Race Team Winter Series continued into week 2. In the 4th cat race Shutt Ridley RT riders Jos Busby, Lloyd Cassidy and Martyn Morris set out and stayed active at the front of the race. Multiple attacks were made and Shutt riders were a constant presence throughout. The pace told for Morris with 10mins to go as he dropped out too fatigued to hold the wheels. Venice to Geneva, Day 3. Pescul to Merano.

Passo Giau (2236m), Passo Falzarego (2105m), Passo Pordoi (2239m) Passo Costalunga (1745m)   Waking up in the mountains for the first time on the trip put a bit of a spring in everyone’s step. Any remaining grappa-induced fuzziness was gone after an all-to-brief 4km descent to the bottom of the first climb of the day. Passo Giau is a tough but lovely and relatively short climb. The 10km climb averages 9.8% with peaks of 14% and is placed late on in the Maratona Dolomites which leads to it having a killer reputation. Although this was our first real 'high' mountain...
